Working for Fifty-five Cents an Hour Doesn't Quite Cut it

With a population of over one billion people and still growing, China takes up almost twenty percent of the world’s population. With today’s economy and market, China is one of the largest manufacturers in the world, which requires the jobs there to be very intense. There are very strict requirements for how a job is done, along with what is allowed versus what is not while in the factory and on the job. Some of the factory workers are required to work for very low pay and strict conditions in order to take care of their families. There is a new law that was created to improve working conditions in China. This law was enforced starting on January 1, 2008, but the changes that should have been made to allow work places to follow the law still don’t seem to have been enforced because many businesses claim that to change everything at once would be disastrous. China’s labor laws were established to give employees and employers a set of proper rules to follow while in the workplace in order to have fair treatment between workers whether they want to implement their own rules or not.
